About Us

My fascination with meteorites, shooting stars and Space came about at an early age. As a kid, I used to get up early to watch the spectacle of meteor showers from my back yard. In college, I studied history, while history was being made, with the Apollo Lunar Missions. As I grew older, I would get to drag my kids out of bed, to watch the Perseids, Geminids and other meteor showers with me. A born collector, I assembled a very small collection of meteorites, always fascinated by their history.

Living in the Washington, D.C. area has given me invaluable opportunities to attend many Space related lectures, symposiums, conferences as well as the National Air and Space Museum. Being able to talk and listen to, astronauts, scientists and astronomers has given me a much deeper appreciation and understanding of Space.

As a pen craftsman, I have searched for a way to incorporate my love for Space and my desire to make high quality, unique pens. The result is shown on these pages. Hopefully I have succeeded.

Each pen that you order is made by me personally, in my shop. Hours are spent on each one, from casting the resin to final assembly, to assure that the quality is consistent throughout.

The future of Space travel, education and technology rests with the younger generation of today. To help promote scientific and mathematical literacy among our children, the not-for-profit Challenger Center for Space Science Education was founded. A portion of the proceeds of each pen sold will be donated directly to this worthy endeavor.
